Instant gratification!
Oh, man, I could get used to this! I'm normally a pretty patient person ... I'm a gardener, after all. But this whole 'instant downloads' thing from Netflix is pretty awesome. For my first test drive of the process, I requested 'Kate and Leopold', an oldy, but very much favorite goodie.
*sighs* Hugh Jackman. On demand.

It's Official
Ben received him mission call (on St. Paddy's Day!) to the Fiji Suva mission, French speaking. He'll enter the MTC on May 26. As you can see, he's pretty pleased with the Lord's choice for him. LOL!

My buddy Joey
Yesterday, Joey and I had some time to play while her mom and dad were at the doctor. Since the weather was cooperating for a change, we spent most of the visit outside.
Since I was digging in the flower beds, Joey spent some time digging in the sandbox. Nothing like hanging out with Granny in the yard to help a little person learn to love to get dirty!
Trust me. Joey was having waaaay more fun than it looks like in this picture! She was all smiles most of the time. This was her first time of the day going down the slide by herself. A little stage fright, I guess.

An-ti-ci-pa-aa-tion
*sighs* This is one of the hardest parts of supporting a missionary son ... waiting for the call to arrive. We have created a game called 'Where In The World Is Elder Coffey Going?' to help pass the time, but it's still hard to wait. There's a certain level of spiritual energy that sustains a missionary and his family during the application process. Keeping that level up for a smooth transition into the MTC is pretty difficult. Now is not the time for doubts or mis-steps.
Thank goodness for a Father who knows us and loves us no matter what!

The first!
It's time. So many of my favorite people are sharing their lives with me through their blogs. I so enjoy keeping up to date with the tidbits that they share. I just don't know how many people would want to read about me, but I do know that's it's time to begin to write it all down.
So, to those who venture here, welcome! My life has never been easy or predictable. I don't think my blog will be either.
